Range Rules

American Shooters is committed to providing a safe environment for everyone. Our Range Rules help everyone have a safe and fun experience on the range.

TREAT ALL GUNS AS IF THEY ARE LOADED

Never point your firearm towards another person, or yourself. Always keep your finger off the trigger until the sights are on target and you are ready to fire.

NEVER POINT A GUN AT ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY

Always be aware of where your weapon is pointed. Never point it at anything you are not willing to shoot. Muzzle awareness is vital.

KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL THE SIGHTS ARE ON TARGET

Always keep your finger off of the trigger until your sights are on target and you are ready to fire. When you are done shooting be sure to take your finger off the trigger!

ALWAYS BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET

Always be aware of whats in front of and behind your target. Be sure you are shooting at the target in your lane only. Shooting across lanes is not allowed.

OBEY ALL COMMANDS FROM RANGE STAFF

Range staff are here to ensure everyone has a fun and safe experience. Listen to and obey their commands on the range. They are trained to keep you safe.

GUNS, MAGAZINES AND SPEEDLOADERS MAY ONLY BE LOADED ON THE FIRING LINE IN YOUR LANE.

Do not load weapons or magazines in the waiting area or behind the firing line. Only load when you are on the firing line in your assigned lane.

EYE AND EAR PROTECTION MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES ON THE RANGE.

Everyone on the range must wear eye and ear protection at all times. If you lose your vision or hearing there is no getting it back. Protect yourself at all times.

ONLY AUTHORIZED FIREARMS AND AMMUNITION MAY BE USED

Armor Piercing, tracers, incendiary and steel core ammunition are prohibited. All pistol ammo must be below 1500 FPS in velocity. Only slug ammunition is allowed for shotguns.

NEVER STEP IN FRONT OF THE FIRING LINE

Never go in front of the table inside your firing lane stall. If you drop something in front of the line let a member of the Range Staff know and they will get it for you safely.

IF YOU BREAK THE RANGE YOU PAY FOR IT

All fixtures and equipment damaged by the shooter are the financial responsibility of the shooter.
